Maidenhead Duplicate Bridge Club

The Club was founded in 1974 by Ted and Dorothy Childs and grew rapidly under Ted’s direction.  His aim - and our continuing aim - is to play competitive bridge in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We usually have about 8 tables and we try to arrange the movement so that we play 24 boards, finishing at about 10.30pm.  Should there be a half table, we try to choose a movement that has the shortest sit out.

We do have wheelchair access and a toilet for the disabled.

Visitors are very welcome.  The Club does operate a host system, so turn up and be guarranteed a game.  Click here to contact us.

Table money is £2.50 for members and £3.00 for visitors, but the subscription is only £7.00 per year, payable in April.  The table money includes tea, coffee and biscuits, available throughout the evening.

The laws of bridge are complied with, but we aim to apply these in a relaxed way.

The Club is affiliated to the English Bridge Union and the Berks & Bucks Contract Bridge Association.  It has a Team of 8 in Division 2 of the BBCBA League and is planning to enter another team in the league next season.  EBU Master Points are registered directly with the EBU.
